The Festival of the Bull
Of all the traditional festivals of the Central American and Salvadoran peasants, “La Quema del Torito” (The Burning of the Bull” is one of the most anticipated festivals in the national calendars. It consists of a dance and display of a bull built of wood and paper, painted in artificial fires which is burned in the plazas of the towns. The bulls of Aleph are the most artistically done representations to-date of this national festival, where the peasants commemorate the end of the crops.
